Inner ripples of outer perception

Another realization that’s been quietly unfolding within me for the past few months…

Every time I try to see or feel something far away — whether it’s a distant vision, a future possibility, or even just imagining something right in front of me — I notice something interesting.

I don’t actually feel it “outside” of me.
I feel it within me.

Even when my mind reaches outward, my experience pulls me inward.

And that’s when it struck me — whether we think or feel something beautiful or something painful,
it impacts us internally.

Our inner world is where all experiences, even the “external” ones, are processed, lived, and held.

So, in a way…
The outer is just a mirror.
The real ripple is always within.

Read to Rise: The Silent Power of Words

Reading, for me, is a form of manifestation. You can buy the best books in the world, stack them on your shelf, and admire their covers—but the real magic lies in reading them, understanding their message, and most importantly, implementing what you learn. Especially when it comes to non-fiction, the goal shouldn’t be to chase numbers—how many books you read in a year—but to allow each book to transform you.

I believe reading is the best companion one can ever have. It offers immense wisdom and, at times, can be a complete life-changer. Through books, we access the perspectives of people who have spent their entire lives learning, reflecting, and growing. It’s a gift—a silent dialogue with the greatest minds, spiritual masters, and changemakers from all walks of life.

To me, reading is therapy. It’s a sacred practice. It’s healing.

There was a time I never thought I’d read anything beyond my academic or professional books. But consciously, I chose to start reading. And that choice has truly shaped the path ahead. I realized that this is my way forward—towards growth, awareness, and transformation.

Each book feels like a blessing—curated wisdom from countless souls across the globe. I always recommend Atomic Habits to anyone beginning their reading journey. It’s a great place to start developing the habit of reading—at any age, any stage of life.

Reading is a blessing in disguise. It can become your best buddy, your deepest companion. One who listens, who speaks, who guides. So if there’s one gentle nudge I can offer—it’s this: invite reading into your life. Not as a task, but as a quiet companion. Let it whisper truths, stir questions, and awaken parts of you long forgotten. One page at a time, it might just help you come home to yourself.

Silence Is the Most Powerful Response to a Fool

In both my personal and professional life, I’ve learned that not every disagreement is worth my energy. Engaging in pointless arguments often leads us away from our goals 🎯 and detracts from our peace of mind. 🧘‍♀️

Choosing silence doesn’t mean conceding; it’s a powerful form of self-control and wisdom. 💪✨ When faced with foolishness, I’ve found that stepping back and allowing it to reveal itself speaks volumes more than any argument could. 📣

This practice has not only helped me maintain my focus 🔍 but also fostered a deeper sense of inner strength. 🌿 Let’s remember to preserve our energy for what truly matters. 🌈💖

When Dreams Arrive at the Wrong Time

✨ Sometimes certain dreams do come true; it’s just that the timing feels incorrect to the extent that it feels meaningless. ✨

This thought resonates deeply with many of us. The dreams we once cherished may manifest when we’re not fully prepared to embrace them, leading to feelings of disconnection or disappointment.

“Timing isn’t just about the moment; it’s about the readiness of our spirit to hold what we once dreamed of.” — Priyanka Murarka 🌱

I’ve experienced moments where the unexpected realization of dreams left me feeling unprepared. Practices like mudra therapy became my anchor for calm and balance.

🧘 Gyan Mudra for Peace

Touch the tip of the index finger to the thumb, paired with deep breathing, to reduce restlessness and foster acceptance.

Reflections on the Complex Interplay Between Dreams and Timing

The Right Timing
Achieving a dream at the wrong time can teach us the value of patience and growth. It often shows that we need to develop more before we can fully appreciate our achievements.

🚀 Value in the Journey
Every step toward a dream holds valuable lessons. The journey itself shapes who we become and highlights that the process can be just as meaningful as the destination.

🔄 Reassessing Dreams
As we grow, our aspirations may change. Reflecting on why a dream feels less significant now helps us realign it with our current values and purpose.

🌈 The Bigger Picture
Life’s unpredictability means that realized dreams can lead to unforeseen opportunities and challenges. Embracing this uncertainty can reveal new paths.

🤝 Community Support
Sharing these thoughts fosters connection. Many of us have faced similar struggles and can offer support, guiding each other through moments of doubt.

🧘🕊️ Mindfulness and Acceptance
Practicing mindfulness grounds us in the present, allowing us to appreciate what we’ve achieved, even if it looks different from our original vision. Acceptance isn’t about giving up on dreams; it’s about finding peace with where we are now.

🌬️ 💨 Emotional Release
It’s okay to vent — whether through writing or a good cry. This release is as important as mindfulness, helping to clear the mind and renew perspective.

Pause, breathe, and invite peace in. 🌬️

2024: A Year of Miracles, Growth, and Divine Surrender

As I reflect on 2024, my heart swells with emotions—of gratitude, awe, and reverence for how life has unfolded. What began as a year filled with challenges transformed into an extraordinary journey of manifestations, spiritual blessings, and profound realizations.

Manifesting Dreams Beyond Imagination

The year began with chaos—work pressure at the office mounting, the uncertainty of finding a new flat, and moments of utter exhaustion. For months, I juggled undue pressure at work with increased responsibilities and flat-hunting trips, facing rejection after rejection. Yet, after relentless efforts, I finally found a home in a dream community, one that aligned with my heart in every way. The flat was on the third floor—a number that has always held a special place in my life, symbolizing harmony, luck, and divine connection.

Shortly after settling in, I stumbled upon an old diary. In its pages, I found a forgotten wish I had written years ago—my dream of traveling internationally for the first time, specifically to Europe. This year, that wish became reality. When my trip was confirmed, tears streamed down my face. I hadn’t even remembered writing that wish, but the universe had, and it delivered in the most beautiful way.

Europe was nothing short of magical. I’ll never forget standing in Scotland, caught in unexpected rain without a jacket or umbrella. Nervously, I wished for the rain to stop—and miraculously, it did. Hours later, after buying a raincoat, the rain began again. It was as if the universe was reassuring me that my smallest prayers are heard and answered.

A Gift That Transformed Me

This year also brought me The Magic, a book gifted by my divine mother on her birthday. Its lessons on gratitude opened my eyes to the power of appreciating life, even during the toughest moments. It wasn’t just a book—it became a guide that helped me embrace life’s miracles, big and small, with an open heart.

A Spiritual Awakening

One of the most transformative experiences of 2024 was attending a seven-day course that began on Guru Purnima and ended just a day before my birthday. It felt like a divine gift, an orchestration by the universe that left me feeling deeply connected to my spiritual path. On my birthday, I felt blessed in ways words cannot capture. It was as if the universe was saying, “Here is more than you could have ever asked for.”

Exactly a month later, I was given an incredible opportunity at my workplace to deliver a Mudra Awareness session. Surprisingly, it became a turning point, as I received an overwhelming response that exceeded all expectations. This experience marked the beginning of the sessions I started conducting to spread awareness among family and friends, gradually expanding from the known to the unknown. It was the start of a journey of connection, learning, and growth.

Becoming an Instrument of Healing

Amid these blessings, I began to feel called to give back. This year, I started conducting meditation sessions, guiding others in their healing journeys. Every time someone shared their transformation, I felt a deep sense of fulfillment. It’s humbling to be a part of someone’s path to peace and self-discovery.

Jagannath Puri: A Pilgrimage of the Heart

The year’s culmination was my trip to Jagannath Puri, a place that holds immense spiritual significance for me. As I stood before the sacred temple, memories of the Jagannath temple in Medica Super Specialty Hospital flooded back. It was where my late mother, my greatest guide and strength, found solace during her final days.

I knelt before Lord Jagannath, asking for a place at His feet, but instead, I felt Him pulling me into His heart. That moment melted something within me. The temple reminded me of my mother’s unwavering faith and how, even in her toughest days, she never stopped seeking divine grace.

Puri is the sacred spot where, as the legend goes, Lord Krishna’s heart descended, and from it, the iconic idol of Jagannath was created. For me, this journey was not just physical but deeply spiritual—a merging of hearts, a connection that felt like coming home to my soul.

I stood there, tears rolling down my face, feeling my heart expand with gratitude and awe. I realized that this was more than just a trip; it was a reminder that no matter where life takes us, the love and strength of those we hold dear stay with us, guiding and protecting us.

Let’s focus on the section about your physical ailments and how they shaped your journey in 2024. Here’s a draft of that portion:

Embracing Pain as a Pathway to Wisdom

This year also brought three deeply challenging episodes of physical suffering that tested my resilience and faith. The first struck soon after I returned from Europe, leading to a month of tremendous pain and struggle. The second came after nine days of fasting during Navratri, lasting over two and a half months. It was only after I visited the sacred Jagannath Temple in Puri during Christmas that I found relief. The third episode, though brief, occurred just days before my return from Puri.

Each period of suffering was profound and transformative. During those moments of intense pain, my unwavering faith in the Divine Presence and the love of Lord Jagannath kept me afloat. The trials became opportunities for immense inner growth, teaching me lessons of acceptance, surrender, and resilience.

In the depths of pain, I found solace in the realization that my late mother is in a far better place now—a thought that brought me peace even amidst the turmoil. These challenges deepened my connection to my faith and imparted a wisdom that will stay with me forever.

Takeaways from 2024

  • The Universe Listens: Whether it was finding my dream flat or experiencing Scotland’s rain halting at my wish, the universe showed me that our desires are heard and fulfilled in divine timing.

  • Mother’s Eternal Presence: Jagannath Puri reminded me of my mother’s strength, faith, and love, showing me that those we lose in the physical world remain with us in spirit, guiding us.
  • Healing Is a Shared Journey: Conducting meditation sessions this year has been humbling, teaching me the beauty of being an instrument in someone’s healing process.
  • Surrender Brings Fulfillment: Letting go of control and trusting the process brought blessings far beyond what I could have imagined.
  • Faith in Action: From forgotten wishes to spiritual awakenings, 2024 proved that faith, combined with consistent effort, creates miracles.
  • From Struggles to Upliftment: The year began with challenges and struggles but evolved into a journey of growth and awakening. The trip to Jagannath Puri symbolized this transformation—melting away the weight of life’s difficulties and immersing me in the heart of creation, where divine connection and grace led me to peace and profound understanding.

Each moment of 2024, from the struggles to the blessings, carried a lesson: that life is a journey of faith, gratitude, and surrender.

May we always find the courage to surrender, the heart to believe, and the strength to embrace the beauty of the unknown.

My First Day of School: A Life Lesson in Disguise

The first day of school is not just the beginning of education; it’s the start of a lifelong journey of discovering who you are and what you’re capable of.

“Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.” — Malcolm X

The memory of my first day of school is etched deeply in my mind. It was a bright morning, and while many children were crying and clinging to their parents as they dropped them off, I was filled with excitement and curiosity. The idea of stepping into a new world, meeting new people, and experiencing something beyond the comfort of home thrilled me.

However, this excitement didn’t last long. By lunchtime, the novelty had worn off, and a wave of longing for my mother washed over me. I remember walking near the staircase, feeling lost and overwhelmed. The realization hit me hard—my mom wasn’t there to take me back home, and I was suddenly gripped with an unbearable sadness. I cried, loudly and uncontrollably, with tears streaming down my face.

I still vividly recall how the world around me moved on, indifferent to my tears. Senior students passed by, chatting and laughing, while my classmates went about their day. No one stopped to ask if I was okay or tried to comfort me. Slowly, I gathered myself, and the tears stopped on their own. Looking back now, I realize that day taught me the most profound lessons of life.

Reflections and Takeaways

That seemingly ordinary first day of school turned out to be a milestone in my journey of understanding life. Here are the key lessons it taught me:

  1. Parents Are Our Anchor of Unconditional Love
While others around us might be indifferent, our parents’ love and care are unwavering. They are our true pillars of strength, always there to nurture and guide us, even when they aren’t physically present.
  2. You Are Your Own Comforter
No matter how loudly you cry or how vulnerable you feel, the world often doesn’t stop for your pain. That first day taught me the importance of self-reliance—of finding the strength within to calm my storm.
  3. Life Requires Adjustment
From the first day of school to many milestones ahead, life is about adapting to new environments and challenges. Change, no matter how daunting, eventually becomes manageable when you face it with resilience.
  4. Parents Prepare Us for Independence
Even though my mom wasn’t there with me physically, her love and blessings gave me the courage to navigate that day. It dawned on me later in life that parents won’t always walk every step with us, but their lessons and love will guide us through every journey.

The Full Circle

From that same school, I graduated years later, not just as a student but as the school topper. The same staircase where I cried on my first day became a place of countless memories—some joyous, some challenging, but all enriching.

Today, when I reflect on that day, I see it not just as a memory but as a life lesson wrapped in simplicity. It’s a reminder that while the world may seem indifferent, the love of those who truly care for us is enough to propel us forward. It also reminds me that growth often comes disguised as pain.

Final Thought

The first day of school wasn’t just about stepping into a classroom. It was my initiation into the realities of life—a lesson on love, resilience, and independence. And though it started with tears, it ended with triumphs that shaped who I am today.

What about you? What was your first day of school like? Did it teach you any lessons that stayed with you? Share your stories—because sometimes, the smallest moments teach us the biggest truths.

Fuel Your Growth: Embrace Criticism as the Catalyst for Success

Fuel for Growth: Transforming criticism into your Greatest Strength

🔥 Criticism can sting, challenge, and sometimes even frustrate us. But here’s a secret: it’s often the fuel that drives our most powerful growth. In my journey, I’ve come to understand that critics, knowingly or unknowingly, push us out of our comfort zones and help us discover potential we didn’t even know we had.

💡 Criticism: The Unexpected Catalyst for Growth

Criticism isn’t just feedback—it’s a mirror reflecting back areas where we can improve. But here’s the magic: when we face criticism with an open mind, we tap into a growth mindset that makes us stronger and more resilient. Research even shows that constructive criticism can activate this mindset, accelerating learning, enhancing persistence, and developing resilience. 🧠✨

Critics nudge us to:

  • Dig Deeper: Sometimes criticism reveals areas we may overlook, challenging us to dive deeper into our ideas and talents. 🔍
  • Work Harder: The push from critics can inspire us to put in extra effort to refine our skills. 💪
  • Exceed Expectations: Rising above self-doubt and exceeding expectations becomes our ultimate reward. 🏆

🎯 Shifting Perspectives: From Noise to Motivation

In the beginning, critics may sound like the loudest voices in the room. 🎤 But as we progress and reach our goals, those voices fade, drowned out by the sound of our own accomplishments. Our perspective shifts as we achieve more, realizing that what once felt like barriers were just stepping stones.

By embracing criticism, you’re not only silencing the noise but also transforming it into motivation. Each step forward drowns out doubt, making room for a new voice—the voice of self-belief. 🔑

🙏 Turning Challenges into Gratitude

Reflecting on the tough moments, I consciously choose gratitude over resentment. Criticism has helped me develop resilience, sharpen my determination, and achieve growth that I might not have experienced otherwise. So sometimes, I even reach out to thank past critics—not for the criticism itself but for the way it pushed me to evolve. 💖

Imagine if we viewed criticism not as an obstacle but as an opportunity to grow. When we look back on those challenges, it’s often with gratitude for what they taught us, not with lingering frustration.

🔥 Embrace Criticism as Fuel for Your Journey

The next time criticism comes your way, don’t let it discourage you. Instead, let it ignite a fire within you. 🔥 Here’s how to shift your perspective and use it to your advantage:

  1. Channel It into Passion: Use criticism to fuel your passion and drive to improve. 🏃‍♀️💨
  2. Sharpen Your Skills: View feedback as an opportunity to refine your craft. Think of it as training for success. 💡
  3. Stay the Course: Remember that criticism is temporary, but growth is enduring. One day, you’ll look back not with resentment but with gratitude for how far it’s pushed you.

Criticism: The Unexpected Mentor on the Path to Self-Improvement

Criticism isn’t the enemy—it’s the mentor that challenges us to be better. Embracing it with gratitude turns doubt into determination, frustration into fuel, and fear into fortitude. So the next time you’re faced with criticism, view it as the world’s way of nudging you toward greatness. 🌟

“Critics ignite the fire within, pushing us to become our best selves.” — Priyanka Murarka 🔥✨

From Fate to Destiny: Embrace Your Journey

“Fate is a misconception. It’s merely a cover-up for the fact that you don’t have control over your own life.” – Priyanka Murarka

For a long time, this belief shaped my outlook on life. It made me feel that life was happening to me, leaving me at the mercy of circumstances beyond my control. At that stage, I felt that “fate” was a way to explain the unpredictable events that came my way.

But as I’ve grown and reflected, my understanding has evolved. Today, my belief has shifted, and I now stand by a new mantra: “You create your destiny.” – Priyanka Murarka.

It’s a simple but powerful realization that life doesn’t just happen to us—we actively shape it. This shift from “fate” to “destiny” isn’t just a change in words; it’s a transformation in perspective. And I’ve realized I’m not alone in this journey. Many of us move through life, grappling with questions about our purpose, control, and growth. Here’s what I’ve learned through this evolution, and some ideas to support you wherever you are on your path.

1. Embracing Self-Belief Over Destiny

Our lives are filled with choices, big and small, that shape our path. Each decision, effort, and even setback is a line in the story we are writing. Rather than waiting for life to reveal itself, embracing the belief that you create your destiny allows you to step into a place of empowerment.

Self-belief is foundational here. Whether it’s a career change, a personal challenge, or an ambitious goal, knowing that you have the power to steer your path can be transformative. You’re not just a bystander—you’re the author.

2. Adaptability as a Strength

Life will present new challenges, shifts, and even unexpected events, but our ability to adapt can be our greatest strength. Staying open-minded and embracing the journey can turn what feels like obstacles into valuable lessons.

This adaptability is key to personal growth and professional success. Change is a constant for leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals at every stage. But our openness to learn and evolve sets us apart and drives us forward.

3. The Power of Reflection and Realignment

Every so often, we need to pause and reflect on where we are, where we’re headed, and whether our actions align with our core values. This reflection not only helps clarify our path but also reaffirms our purpose.

Realignment is a powerful tool for personal and professional development. As we grow, our goals, values, and desires may shift. Embracing these shifts helps us live with intention, constantly aligning our lives with who we are becoming.

From Fate to Destiny: Growth is a journey

My journey from believing in fate to creating my own destiny has been marked by moments of self-discovery, challenges, and a willingness to evolve. I believe this is a journey many of us share. We start with one perspective, but life has a way of teaching us that growth is a journey, not a destination. Wherever you are in your journey—just starting, navigating change, or seeking purpose—embrace the evolution. Stay open, trust in your ability to adapt, and remember: you are the author of your story.

What does creating your destiny look like to you? Feel free to share your journey in the comments. Let’s inspire and evolve together.

This journey of evolving beliefs isn’t always easy, but it’s worth it. We may begin with one perspective, but life teaches us that the greatest growth happens when we allow ourselves to change. Let’s embrace our power, our adaptability, and our evolving selves.

Transform Your Life: How Shifting Beliefs Can Unlock Your True Potential

“Our beliefs are like a lens we use to view life; we see what we convince ourselves is true.” – Vex King

Have you ever read or heard something that resonated so deeply that it felt like a truth you always knew, but just couldn’t articulate? I often find myself in such moments, where words from others mirror the experiences and emotions I’ve held within.

This makes me wonder: If our beliefs shape our reality, doesn’t that mean that by changing our beliefs, we can change our lives?

I grew up in humble circumstances, where life wasn’t always easy. Yet, through my mother’s unwavering strength, faith, and perseverance, she created a life for us that seemed to defy the odds. Her belief in love, hope, and the possibility of brighter days shaped not only her reality but mine as well. She found light in the darkest of times, and even when I couldn’t see any hope, she held onto it fiercely.

Her belief that love could heal, inspire, and overcome any obstacle was a lesson she lived every day. This belief system, deeply rooted in her heart, became the foundation of the life she built for us. As the youngest, much was hidden from me, including our financial struggles. But even as a child, I observed and sensed more than I understood. My mother’s beliefs – her conviction that love could make anything possible – became my guiding light, motivating me to strive for a better life for my family.

I am who I am because of her. The thoughts I think, the words I speak, the experiences I live – they all stem from the beliefs she instilled in me. I lived the brighter side of life because she shielded me from the storms, believing that I deserved to see the world through a lens of love and hope.

When my mother’s soul left this world, I learned stories of her life that shattered me. I could finally understand the silent battles she fought during 50 years of marriage, battles that were laid bare in her final days. The suffering I witnessed in her last 38 days will stay with me forever, a torment I carry in my soul. Yet, even in her suffering, her belief in love’s power never wavered.

My mother, a woman of immense strength, sacrificed her desires and needs to shape me into a better person. Her belief in me, in our family, and in the power of love, is the root of my inspiration.

My father, the only graduate of his generation, also held beliefs that shaped his life. He aspired to continue his studies but was denied by his parents. Life pushed him into the business world, where he faced many trials and was even expelled disrespectfully. Yet, he persevered, eventually finding his path in the insurance business. Even now, at 70+, his belief in hard work and resilience imparts strength to me.

Through the beliefs my parents held and lived by, I’ve come to realize that the deepest roots of my inspiration are found at home, long before I seek them elsewhere. Their beliefs shaped their lives, and in turn, they shaped mine.

Through the beliefs my parents held and lived by, I’ve come to realize that the deepest roots of my inspiration are found at home, long before I seek them elsewhere. Their beliefs shaped their lives, and in turn, they shaped mine.

I cultivated a habit of reading in the last few years, immersing myself in stories and ideas that challenged and expanded my understanding of the world. These stories, filled with diverse perspectives and wisdom, further fueled the evolution of my belief system. I’ve come to appreciate that while our foundational beliefs are often inherited from those we admire, they can and should evolve over time. We must remain open and adaptable if we are to truly take flight in life.

To grow and soar, we must embrace new ideas that reshape our beliefs and reality. Just as my parents’ beliefs shaped my life, I must evolve mine to navigate the future.

Spirituality Made Simple: A Modern Approach to Inner Peace

Recently, a close friend asked me, “Hey, why don’t you give me some tips on spirituality?” The question took me by surprise, but it also brought a smile to my face.

Some people often look at me as if I’ve renounced all worldly pleasures just because I don’t go clubbing or socialize in the way many do and because I am single in 30s. The truth is, I’m selective in my choices, both in how I spend my time and the people I choose to be with. I deeply value my time and prefer to invest it in ways that align with my values and priorities.

It made me realize how many misconceptions people have about what spirituality truly means.

When most people hear the word “spirituality,” they often envision a life detached from material possessions, perhaps living as a sage in the Himalayas or engaging in rigorous rituals at home. This image, while not entirely incorrect, is just one facet of spirituality. The reality is much more accessible and deeply woven into our everyday lives.

Spirituality has become a topic of great interest in our era, as more and more people worldwide seek to take control of their lives. They are starting to recognize their responsibility towards themselves—their well-being, their mental health, and their overall happiness.

When my friend asked for advice, I explained that spirituality is not about renouncing the world or living an austere life. Instead, it’s about living fully in the present moment and making the most of each day. It’s about striving to improve yourself every single day, whether that means taking care of your mental well-being, staying physically fit, eating healthy, or maintaining focus and dedication in your work. It’s about cultivating healthy relationships and being the change, you wish to see in the world.

In essence, spirituality is about conscious living. It’s about responding to challenging situations with calm and clarity, rather than reacting impulsively. It’s about staying alert, being mindful of your thoughts, actions, and their impact on others. Unfortunately, in today’s fast-paced world, spirituality is often misunderstood as something unattainable or irrelevant, especially by those who are caught up in the rat race, neglecting their health, well-being, and personal growth.

But spirituality is far from a taboo or a relic of the past. It’s a way of life that brings balance, peace, and a deeper understanding of oneself and the world around us. I truly hope that more people will come to see spirituality for what it really is—a path to living a more fulfilled and conscious life. May Lord Krishna guide us all towards this wisdom.

Hare Krishna!
